Our concept leads the visitor through a tunnel-like full-pipe into an immersive world where the institution “Museum” merges into an exhibition experience without a break. Via atmosphere, exhibit and text, the tour imparts the spirit of freedom, sports and a specific way of life that is immanent to the global, sub-cultural skateboarding scene . Scenographic highlights are The Bodyless Skater, the interactive station Climb a Board, an auditive-only tunnel experience and a hidden atelier for urban artists as part of the exhibition. Here we bring art from the outdoor space to the inside of the museum. Plus, we flip over the “illegality” of this type of art and make the visitor a “confidant”. Thus, the concept creates attempts of reflection at the fine line between urban art, museum culture and vandalism.
